'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' Heart of Stone Trailer Released; DLC Expansion Available Next Week [Video]

For gamers who are dying to return to the world of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," the wait won't be long because the first expansion of the title, "Hearts of Stone," will come out next week.

To give fans a glimpse of what to expect in the first downloadable content of the action role-playing video game, the team released a trailer featuring Geralt of Rivia in a dialogue with the immortal Olgierd von Everec, a bandit captain who needs to deal with being an unappealing person, forever, GamingBolt reports.

 "Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality, " the description of the "Hearts of Stone" DLC goes in "The Witcher's " official website.

According to HardCoreGamer, "Hearts of Stone" features 10 hours of new adventures that gamers will surely enjoy. It also introduces a new set of characters, monsters, an unmatched romance and a fresh story line.

Just like the previous title in the series, the plot of "Hearts of Stone" depends on the gamer's choice. The player has to determine whether he hires a crew of break-in artists to sneak in a party or spend all night partying with a ghost.

Moreover, the new DLC also brings a new gameplay system, Runewords. Each Runeword influences the in-game mechanics in different aspects. The players are free to explore the different Runewords and figure out what's the best strategy to be victorious in the gameplay.

Along with the digital release, the players can also purchase a special, limited boxed edition of "Hearts of Stone" for only SRP $19.99/19.99€. It will be available at selected retailers worldwide, Comingsoon.net has learned.

The box comes with a digital download code for the expansion, two physical decks of Gwent, a card game set in the world of "The Witcher" and a helpful manual with a detailed explanation of the rules.

With two unique set of cards, Monsters and Scoia'tael which are ready to go, a group of friends can now enjoy a tactical combat on a grand scale outside "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!"

"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone" DLC expansion will be available on Oct. 13 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. For those who wanted to enjoy the expansion, a copy of the original gameplay is a requirement.
