Rihanna shared in an interview with "Extra" reporter Terri Seymour what inspired her to agree to headline the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The entrepreneur and singer said motherhood makes her feel like she can take on or do anything, including next year's Super Bowl Halftime Show.

When asked about the Super Bowl halftime gig, Rihanna said it was now or never. She added that there is this weird sh*t that happens when you become a mom and that she has to unleash or unlock other parts of that superpower.

Rihanna excited about her upcoming Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 show

Rihanna said she wanted to take on the challenge and do something that would force her to get back onstage. In addition to Rihanna's upcoming performance in the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, she is also debuting her much-awaited Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 show, which will premiere on Prime Video on November 9, according to TODAY.

The fashion show includes models Precious Lee and Cara Delevigne, as well as actors Sheryl Lee Ralph and Taraji P. Henson. Ralph recently won an Emmy award for her brilliant performance in the television series "Abbott Elementary."

Rihanna has been facing backlash recently for including Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp in the 40-minute fashion show. Depp, of course, is coming off his highly publicized defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard. Rihanna also shared in the interview that while her patience goes up as a mom, her tolerance level goes down.

Rihanna sends fans into a frenzy with Super Bowl announcement

Rihanna announced via the social media platform Instagram on September 25 that she would perform at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The Grammy Award winner shared a simple photo of her tattooed hand holding a football, sending her fans into a frenzy, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Super Bowl LVII will take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, February 12, 2023. However, the artist remains tight-lipped regarding the show, refusing to share any information on what music and sports fans can expect during her performance in the Super Bowl. She said that she was not saying anything and that her lips were sealed.

Rihanna did share some information on what viewers can expect from her upcoming Savage x Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show. She said she wanted to do something dynamic and ridiculous with the show. She also wanted to do something obnoxious and almost impossible.

She added that she loves a challenge and likes to work harder for some weird reason, and they pulled it off. Rihanna has a lot on her plate now. Besides being a fashion designer and the next performer in the Super Bowl halftime show, she also recorded original music for the new "Black Panther" movie.

That being said, Rihanna said that her son remains at the top of her priority list. She is excited for the future, though, saying she is a performer and loves it.
