Colorado Police Intensifies Search for 2 Missing Children After the Discovery of Child's Remains Encased in Concrete

In a storage unit located in Pueblo, Colorado, a child's body has been discovered encased in concrete, prompting the police to initiate a search for two missing children.

Located approximately 45 miles south of Colorado Springs, Pueblo, has a population of around 110,000.

Sergeant Franklyn Ortega announced that the remains were found on January 10 during the clearance of the storage unit, which occurred due to unpaid rent. Among the items found in the unit was a metal container filled with solidified concrete, housing the child's remains.

Colorado Police Search for 2 Missing Children

The continuing search by the police is focusing on two children who were last seen in Pueblo during the summer of 2018, aged 3 and 5, during that time.

Authorities aim to secure the safety of Jesus Dominguez, now 10, and Yesenia Dominguez, now 9. According to Ortega, there has been no sign or indication of the children since July 2018, and despite talking to their parents, the children were not reported missing.

The Pueblo County Coroner will disclose the victim's identity following family notifications. In particular, details regarding the victim's age and the time of the child's demise have not been disclosed by the police.

Investigators interviewed two individuals of interest and have chosen not to disclose whether these individuals include the parents, Ortega said.

Investigation on the Child's Remains Found in Concrete

Earlier in January, a report was made to Pueblo Police about a metal container filled with concrete found in a storage unit. Authorities in Colorado found the remains of a child encased in concrete, prompting an investigation. 

The following examination revealed the catastrophic discovery of the child's remains. However, the victim's identity has not yet been disclosed publicly. 

The police are tending the case as a homicide.

The connection between the missing children and the discovered remains is unclear. Pueblo Police are trying their best to confirm the children's location in connection to the case.

Despite engaging with their parents, the children had not been reported missing. The connection between the two missing children and the remains discovered in the metal container remains unclear at this point.
