Bristol Palin Baby Gender Revealed -- Mom Flaunts 8-Month Baby Bump [Photo]

The expectant mom Bristol Palin is very happy and excited to welcome her second bundle of joy, a baby girl! Palin announced her baby's gender in a post on Instagram on Monday, Oct. 12.

In the said post, the soon-to-be-mom is all smiles. She was wearing a black ensemble paired with brown boots, according to Extra. She was cradling her growing baby bump and captioned the photo with, "7.5 months with my baby girl"

While Palin has finally revealed the gender of her baby, the identity of the father of the child remains a secret. When Palin announced in June that she was expecting her second child, she was already single that's what the public knows. Palin called-off her engagement to ex-fiance Dakota Meyer a month before her pregnancy announcement, according to US Weekly.

Palin's second pregnancy was a struggle for her emotionally. In an earlier report from Parent Herald, the reality star's second pregnancy out of wedlock is not a good news to her friends and family. In her announcement she wrote, "Honestly, I've been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one."

"I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect Tripp's and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy," the celebrity mom wrote.

Palin stressed that "things didn't go as planned, but life keeps going." Later on, she said that her pregnancy was planned because she wanted more kids and a bigger family, People has learned.

Bristol is the daughter of Gov. Sarah Palin, Senator John McCain's running mate against Barack Obama and Joe Biden in the 2008 presidential election. She was dating Levi Johnston at the time when she got pregnant.

Bristol's pregnancy out of wedlock had an adverse effect on her mom's campaign. Sarah is an active advocate of traditional family values. She was ridiculed when the public learned that her daughter is pregnant out of marriage.

Bristol gave birth to her firstborn, Tipp Easton Mitchell Johnston on December 2008. She was only 18 years old at that time and was engaged to Tipp's dad. Unfortunately, things didn't go well between the ex-lovers. The pair split after they announced their second engagement.

As for Bristol's second pregnancy, she said "I do not regret this baby. This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two," Bristol said.
