'Minecraft: Story Mode' Gameplay Download: Episode 2 'Assembly Required' Now Available -- What You Need To Know

Telltale Games has announced in a press release that “Minecraft: Story Mode—A Telltale Games Series” physical version is now available in North American stores and will be available in Europe starting Oct. 30.

Additionally, the second installment titled “Episode Two: Assembly Required” will be available for download on different platforms this week.

According to PC Gamer, the release of the downloadable Episode Two coincides with the U.S release of the physical “Season Pass” version, which is currently comprised of only two episodes only.

"Premiering 'Minecraft: Story Mode' this month, we've been overjoyed by the reception from both the Minecraft community and fans of Telltale across the world diving into the all-ages adventure and making key decisions that will craft their own stories throughout the rest of the season," Kevin Bruner, CEO and Co-Founder of Telltale Games, said.

"This week, we're happy to offer the game on a special disc at retailers worldwide, including access to the thrilling second episode, 'Assembly Required,' which will feel like a completely different chapter for players depending on their paths taken in episode one," he added.

Episode Two seems exciting. Here's what Telltale has to say of the second episode, as seen in their blog.

“In the second chapter of our story, time is running out for our intrepid heroes. The Wither Storm looms ever closer, consuming everything in its wake. Depending on their decisions, Jesse and friends are off to explore either kingdoms of chaos or wondrous Redstone marvels in search of Magnus or Ellegaard, the remaining known members of The Order of the Stone. Can these legendary figures help our heroes stop the impending threat?

“Your path in ‘Assembly Required’ will differ greatly depending on your choices made in 'The Order of the Stone’, so more than one playthrough is definitely recommended after your season concludes! Did you choose to save Gabriel or Petra amid the Wither Storm? Did you choose to seek the help of Magnus the Griefer or Ellegaard the Redstone Engineer? This is one of our most divergent episodes yet depending on the paths you’ve chosen - and many players will have completely different experiences depending on where they’ve decided to go!”

The season pass disc is available for retail in North America priced at $29.99. It will also be available in Europe starting Friday, October 30. Gaming platforms in North America include Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3; and for Europe, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
