'Frozen 2' Release Date & Plot: Sequel About Queen Elsa's Childhood, How She Got Her Powers -- 5 Things We Know [Rumors]

Pretty sure fans are getting hyped up over the "Frozen 2" rumors that are circulating. However, as “highly-likely-to-be” rumors are still mere rumors; facts are helpful for all the fans to consider.

Here's a list of the top five things we know so far, about Elsa's and Anna's forthcoming sequel.

Elsa's Powers Explained

Movie News Guide reported that in the first film, Elsa's father tells the leader of the trolls that she has been born "blessed" with her powers, and she is not cursed with it. Moreover, her parents seemingly aren't surprised with it.

Because of this, speculations have risen, saying that her power is the result of genetics playing with her existence. It could also be possible to have more of their family members appearing in the sequel.

Anna's Power Isn't Fire

While some rumor about Anna having powers of fire and summer (as opposed to Elsa having powers of ice and winter) have circulated, fans can be sure that she does not have that. Directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee said in an interview with Hit-Fix that Anna does have powers, but it's not what rumors say it is.

"Her superpower is love,” Buck said. “That's Anna's superpower."

Lee added, "You know, like a mama bear can raise a car off their kid with their super strength, love is very powerful."

Elsa's Lighter Side Will be Seen

Frozen showed Elsa being tormented by her powers and the lack of ability to control them. “Frozen Fever” showed a lighter Elsa, with the kingdom not being hard on her for the freeze in the first film. Frozen 2 promises to have a lighter, happier Elsa.

MoviePilot quoted Buck saying that Elsa will bring more fun, as she gets to have more fun herself.

"In the movie, Elsa went through a very dramatic character arc, and in Frozen Fever, she got to lighten up,” Buck explained. “We saw a bit more of her personality. So then we started thinking about what we could do with all of these characters in another film."

Their Parents Didn't Die

“I said, ’Of course Anna and Elsa’s parents didn’t die,'” Buck told MTV News. He goes on to reveal that their parents ended up in a jungle, had a baby boy, built a tree house and were killed by a leopard. Sounds like “Tarzan.”

The Ending Will be Amazing

Although the film's released is yet to be finalized, the directors promise (as per MNG) that viewers will be spellbound and mesmerized.
