iPad Pro Release: Online Pre-Order Starts Wednesday, In Stores This Week -- Watch First iPad Pro Commercial [Video]

Here comes another Apple giant sale! The company announced that online sales for the iPad Pro starts Wednesday, November 11, while in-store sales will start later this week.

“The early response to iPad Pro from app developers and our customers has been incredible, and we’re excited to get iPad Pro into the hands of customers around the world this week,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, in a press release. “iPad Pro is the most powerful iPad we’ve ever made, giving users the ability to be even more creative and more productive with the epic 12.9-inch Retina display, powerful 64-bit A9X chip and groundbreaking Apple Pencil and new Smart Keyboard. We can’t wait to see what they do with iPad Pro.”

The iPad Pro is the new flagship tablet for the Cupertino-based tech giant. It comes with a huge 12.9-inch Retina display with 5.6 million pixels. Apple boasts that this is the most yet for an iOS device. It also comes with a 64-bit A9X chip that powers it to rival most portable PCs.

The Apple pencil for iPad will give users a “fluid and natural” feel and will deliver top-notch accuracy for illustrations and designing. A built-in Lightning connector in the Pencil will also make for convenient charging.

“iPad Pro and Apple Pencil are the new pad and pen,” said Evi Meyer, CEO of 3D sketching app UMake. “With its simple use and powerful computing capacity, designers can leverage these tools to reimagine their sketching experience and finally elevate their flat work to 3D. UMake, iPad Pro and Apple Pencil finally empower professional designers to embrace innovation, along with their creativity.”

Apple's new Smart Keyboard further enhances the use of the iPad Pro. Connected to the iPad via the Smart Connector port, the keyboard eliminates the need for batteries, charging, an on/off switch and bluetooth pairing.

Additionally, the iPad Pro's thin design and promised 10-hour battery life ensures ultimate portability.

MacRumors reported that although Apple didn't take orders before November 11, other retailers like Sam's Club, MacMall and Staples did. Sam's Club has already sold out, while the others are still accepting orders.

The new iPad Pro starts at $799 for the 32GB with Wi-Fi model and $1079 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular 128GB model. It comes in three metallic finishes: silver, gold and space gray. The Apple Pencil will be available for $99 and Smart Keyboard will be available in charcoal gray for $169.

It can be purchased at Apple.com, Apple’s Retail stores, select carriers and select Apple Authorized Resellers.
