'Pokémon Z, Pokémon GO Release Date Confirmed: Game Freak Exec Announcing Feb 2016 Launch? -- What We Know So Far [Rumors]

Fans of the Pokemon games series are in for a treat, as “Pokemon Z” and “Pokemon GO” are rumored to be released together. 

“Pokemon Z,” the latest installment to the franchise, introduces legendary Pokemon Zygarde, who will have different forms that are different from Kyurem, Giratina and Hoopa, other Pokemons. iDigital Times reported that the forms have been first revealed in the Japanese magazine, CoroCoro.

Each form that Zygarde has will represent his power levels. He will start out as a green blob called “Zygarde Core,” then a flat form called “Zygarde Cell,” followed by a dog form when it's at 10 percent power.

At 50 percent, Zygarde enters a snake-like form, and when it reaches full power, it will evolve into its “Perfect Form,” a form more powerful than legendary Pokemon Xerneas and Yveltal.

The release date is still unconfirmed until now. Movie Pilot reported rumors that say the game will be released February 2016 along with iOS and Android-based augmented reality game “Pokemon GO.”

Although the actual release date is still unconfirmed, this speculation coincides with Nintendo's announcement which said that classic Pokemon games “Pokemon Red,” “Pokemon Blue,” and “Pokemon Yellow” will be released on February 27, 2016.

MP reported that the director for game developer Game Freak, Junichi Masuda, will be announcing the release date on November 15. However, as of now, no final details are given.

Another possible way to know the release date, according to Yibada, is to wait December 15 for the release of CoroCoro magazine. Nintendo said that CoroCoro is rumored to bring a big Pokemon announcement on its next edition, likely about "Pokemon Z."

For now, what is known is that the game reissues for the classic Pokemon games will be released February 27, 2016. This will give those who weren't able to play the classics on the GameBoy console another chance, on the 3DS – with the same feeling that will bring nostalgia to old gamers.

“The games remain true to the originals—complete with monochromatic pixel art and 4-bit background music—so you can feel as though you’re experiencing these games just as they were back then! If you've never played them before, you can join the millions of people around the world who have enjoyed these classic original Pokémon games,” said the Pokemon announcement.
