'Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini' Review, Specs & Price: Leaks Confirm Low-End 4-inch Smartphone -- Details Here! [Photo]

Samsung is perhaps on the verge of adding a new member to their Samsung Galaxy J1 line with reports that a new budget-friendly device is set to be unveiled soon.

This is with reference to the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini which recently appeared on the GFXBench, Zauba and Spreadtrum databases as reported by GSM Arena.

The coming of the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini will append the current line of devices under that niche, specifically the entry-level Galaxy J1 and the Galaxy J1 Ace as mentioned over at Android Headlines.

The leaked device will have a model number SM-J105F and will sport a 4.3-inch touch screen display (800x480 pixel resolution) and powered by a Spreadtrum SC8830 chipset with quad core CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz.

Other specs include an ARM Mali-400 MP2 dual-core GPU, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. It also comes with a 5 MP main camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing shooter and will most likely come out with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box as enumerated over at Sam Mobile.

Being a budget-friendly device, the specs are hardly one would impress the avid mobile phone buyer. But then again, the bunch should be more than enough considering that the device is expected to cost only about $50 per the Zauba listing though prices could vary since this is the reported value before taxes and markups on the part of the distributor/retailers as mentioned via Android Headlines.

Seeing that most of the sites that leaked the information of the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini are fairly consistent, it remains to be seen when (and where) the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini will make an appearance.

It seems that the logical place where it will make its debut will be in India with possibly other countries which would do well with a price-friendly phone following suit. However, that is still left up for debate until Samsung officially says so.

Assuming the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini does come out soon, it would be something that simple daily living beings may find handy.

With that of course we are talking about folks who simply want a device with the most basic features like calls, text and perhaps browsing among others with the cameras and the rest coming in secondary.

Aside from that, the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini should be something worth getting for folks who maybe planning to handing it out as a gift or simply a means of communication with their kids or probably even helpers so that they can closely keep tabs.
