'Dancing With The Stars' Season 21 Cast: Bindi Irwin Dedicates Emotional Performance to Late Father, Steve Irwin

Crocodile Dundee would have been so proud to see his daughter Bindi make it to the finale of the TV hit show "Dancing with the Stars."

The 17-year-old daughter of the Australian icon, the late Steve Irwin, is making headlines today after her stellar performance in the said show which left the judges and her family in tears.

In a report from The Sydney Morning Herald, the young dancer is the favorite to win the competition that will be decided on the show's 2nd part of the finale. Bindi and Derek Hough will dance against other finalists Backstreet Boy's Nick Carter and Alek Skarlatos, the American hero who stopped a gunman on a train in Paris.

Bindi and his multi-talented partner, Hough, danced to the tune of "Footprints in the Sand" by Leona Lewis. The young Australian dedicated her wonderful performance to her late father, Steve. She had shared her memories with her dad before last Monday's wonderful performance.

"Sometimes during rehearsals it feels like there are three people in the room," Bindi said. "Derek put that in this freestyle, and I feel that Dad is with me every day," she added.

Steve, an Australian legend known also as the "Crocodile Hunter" was a wildlife specialist who got killed by a stingray barb that pierced through his heart. He died in 2006 at the age of 44.

Bindi kept her composure all throughout the night until Hough showed a picture of her and her dad on the screen that made her break down in tears. Her family, the audience and the judges were also in tears, the news outlet added.

Bindi also shared a photo of her family on Twitter.

"The last photo ever taken of us as a family. The day before I had to wave goodbye to my hero, without knowing it would be the last time. But Dad, I know you walk beside me always and your strength lives within me. I love you," she wrote. It was indeed a very emotional performance, Fox2Now reported.

Bindi also expressed how the show changed her life as tears falling from her eyes. Her mother Terri tweeted later and said that Steve is walking with Bindi tonight, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The judges were very impressed with the performance. Carrie Ann Inaba, has nothing but praises for them, saying that even though they decided to choose a very difficult song in one of their performances, the judge claimed that they pulled it off effortlessly.
