Xbox Live Gold, PlayStation (PS) Plus December 2015: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, King’s Quest, Thief, Castlestorm, Sacred 3 & More! -- Complete List Here!

December is a big month for gamers as the list of games that Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus subscribers can download for free have been revealed by rival game companies Microsoft and Sony.

Games available come from various genres. “Whether you prefer a good ol’ fashioned romp through a dungeon, or maybe a light-hearted story of adventure, we’ve got you covered with two reimaginings of classic gaming goodness,” the PlayStation blog noted.

Coming Soon reported that games available for PlayStation Plus subscribers are for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita consoles.

PlayStation 4 players will be able to raid dungeons alone or with a friend in monster-hacking, dungeon-crawling game “Gauntlet: Slayer Edition;” and journey through King Graham's memories in fantasy-puzzle game “King's Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember.”

PlayStation 3 owners, on the other hand, will be able to shoot enemies via first-person shooter “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” and have some fast-paced snowboarding fun in “SSX.”

Handheld console PS Vita players can get role playing game “Freedom Wars” and cinematic platform cinematic adventure game “Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken.” This last title probably made Colonel Sanders proud.

These games will be available starting the first Tuesday of December.

On the other side, games available for Xbox Live Gold members are available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 (with Xbox One Backward Compatibility).

For the Xbox One, players can download the hack and slash game “The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing” for the whole month of December, while 2014's stealth game “Thief” will be available from December 16th to January 15th.

Xbox 360 games include strategy game “Castlestorm,” available from December 1-15; while shooting game “Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising” and brawler “Sacred 3” will both be available for download December 16th to January 15th.

According to Kotaku, although these games have been classified as 'free,' they are only accessible to subscribers. Players who would want to be a Xbox Live Gold member will have it easy this month as Microsoft is offering a month's subsciption for only $1.

A comparison chart made by IGN showed the games' prices being compared against each other. With all of these games combined and bought together, Xbox games are more expensive than PS games at $84.92 versus $79.94 – and that's five games versus six.

With subscriptions, these games come free. It would be a great time to subscribe now.
