‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 9 Spoilers: Will Amy and Sheldon Get Back Together in Episode 10?

Fans of "The Big Bang Theory" TV show who wish to see Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons) back together will surely be delighted with the new reports swirling about the upcoming season. The ex-lovers will soon rekindle their romance and move forward together.

According to International Business Times, "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 10 spoiler reports suggested that its time for Amy and Sheldon to be a couple again. The ex-couple split in the season 8 finale, with her being unaware that he exerted effort to get her an engagement ring.

After that episode, executive producer Steven Molaro announced that Amy and Sheldon would not be getting back together anytime soon. Indeed, it was what happened because it took nine episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 for her to tell him that she's ready to be his girlfriend again. Unfortunately, he turned her down. Perhaps, for fear of another heartache in case she changes her mind.

"Maybe I'm ready to be your girlfriend again," Amy told Sheldon in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 9. However, she did not expect his response: "Amy, I excel at many things but getting over you wasn't one of them. I think I need to be just your friend."

Obviously, Sheldon is still hurting and he is not ready to give his romance with Amy a second chance at that time. However, someone will trigger him to have a change of heart and pursue the love of his life. The good Professor Proton a.k.a Dr. Arthur Jeffries, who died in Season 7, will return in the form of a ghost or conscience to help Sheldon make a decision on whether he should pursue his ex-flame or not, Carter Matt reported.

Proton is Sheldon's childhood hero, so whatever his input is, it will surely matter to him. Per Reality Today, the professor will return in a Jedi costume considering Sheldon is a big fan of "Star Wars."

After the ex-lovers' reconciliation, things will get steamy between them. They will make love in Episode 11 of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9, which is scheduled to air on Thursday, Dec. 17. Molaro has already confirmed that Amy and Sheldon will consummate their relationship, IBTimes has learned.

"After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship, and we're so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes," said Molaro.
