'Avatar 2' Cast & Plot: Jake Sully, Neytiri The Next Chieftain & Priestess; Couple Will Have Children [Rumors]

There is no doubt that the sequel of the blockbuster film "Avatar" is among the highly-anticipated films. "Avatar 2" is still over two years away, but fans are very eager to get back to Pandora and witness the next adventure of the Na'vi. The latest scope we have about the film reveals the fate of Jake Sully and Neytiri.

Parent Herald previously reported that Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) would be living their separate lives in "Avatar 2". The lovers will be forced to part their ways due to the conflict and threats of the war.

However, there were reports claiming that Jake and Neytiri will be parents. Yes, you read it right! They will have children. According to MoviewNewsGuide, their children will be half-human and half-Navi. These new characters will debut in "Avatar 2."

Aside from being parents, there were also speculations that Jake and Neytiri will be the next chieftain and priestess in "Avatar 2," per MNR Daily. We all know that the female lead in this fantasy-fiction drama came from a prominent family. Neytiri was the daughter of Eytukan the patriarch of the Omaticaya clan.

Eytukan was a responsible and dedicated chieftain, but he was killed during the destruction of the Hometree. He ordered everyone in the Hometree to flee after recognizing that they are no match to the arms and weapons carried by the humans. A splinter of the Hometree sent flying the rocket explosions penetrated his torso and he was fatally wounded. Before breathing his last, he told his grieving daughter, Neytiri, to save their clan. Tsu'tey took over his position.

However, there are speculations that Jake will be the next chieftain after Tsu'tey and perhaps this will be featured in "Avatar 2". Of course, this is not unlikely to happen given his experience and dedication to the native of Pandora. In fact, Jake was the sixth Toruk Makto in the entire blue flute clan.

Toruk Makto is an individual who successfully manages to ride a great Leonopteryx that the Na'vi called as toruk. This animal is very difficult to tame, which explains why only a few were able to control it. Being a Toruk Makto is a great achievement for Jake that he was forgiven by the Omaticaya clan after disclosing his mission. The first five Toruk Maktos prior to Jake were regarded with great respect and honor.

Will we see more toruks in "Avatar 2"? How will Jake and Neytiri fight back and survive Col. Mile Quaritch's return?

"Avatar 2" is slated to premiere on Dec. 25, 2017.
