'Winds of Winter' Release Date & Spoilers: Plot Focuses on Daenerys Bringing War to Westeros; Fans Await Release Announcement [Rumors]

The hype about the anticipated sixth installment of the popular novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is not slowing down despite the long wait. It has been over four years of waiting and counting, and fans are still holding on to hear George RR Martin announce the official release date of "The Winds of Winter."

Martin already expressed his desire to finish the long overdue book "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres, per Entertainment Weekly. In fact, he cut back on doing interviews and canceled planned convention appearances to focus on the book.

But was Martin's effort not enough to complete the book? HBO has already announced that "Game of Thrones" season 6 will air in April, however, there are still no reports as to when "The Winds of Winter" will hit the bookshelves.

Parent Herald previously reported that it is unlikely for "The Winds of Winter" to be released earlier than the new season of "Game of Thrones." Jeff, also known as BryndenBFish, stressed on his Wars and Politics of Ice and Fire that it takes four to eight months for the book to go from "manuscript submission" to "published and on the shelves." But, he also explained that, with an accelerated publishing schedule, "The Winds of Winter" could be a complete manuscript by Feb. 23.

On his personal blog, the New Mexican author promoted his cameo in Syfy's "Z Nation" via a clip showing him in a zombified character signing books titled "A Promise of Spring." These didn't go unnoticed to fans who are expecting for the book to be released soon. Many are taking this as a sign that the "The Winds of Winter" will be out by next spring, VineReport has learned.

Meanwhile, many are hoping that Daenerys will get back to Westeros and this is likely to happen. However, her return may only bring war to her ancestral homeland, per iDigitalTimes. The report suggested that it is unlikely for the Lannisters and Tyrells to step aside and neither will Aegon.

With her three dragons and an army that do not care for the Westerosi, her return will be a bloodbath filled with carnage. She will start another civil war that is probably worse than the last.

There's a potential for a three-way civil war: Lannister/Tyrell loyalists, Aegon patriots and Daenerys' army. Westeros are expected to fight the return of the dragons, so whatever the turns of events will be, one thing is certain: Daenerys return to Westeros will result to fire and blood.

Do you agree that Daenerys will bring war to Westeros? We will see, perhaps "The Winds of Winter" can answer and explain this.

“The Winds of Winter” is expected to arrive in 2016. However, as to when next year, we do not know yet.
