'Street Fighter V' FANG: Season Pass Available Now; 5 Final Launch Character, DLC Fighters Confirmed [Video]

In the recent PlayStation Experience report, various details about “Street Fighter V” have been released. These include many things that fans of the franchise will or will not like, depending on how it's taken.

Here are some of the things that have been announced and revealed, according to the PlayStation Blog:

New Character: F.A.N.G.

Finally, the last character in the game's starting roster has been revealed!

F.A.N.G. is a new character who happens to be a self-proclaimed Shadaloo second-in-command. He is an assassin with attacks that are said to be second only to none other than M. Bison himself.

F.A.N.G. brings with him a new game mechanic which is poison. When his poison attacks hit an enemy, that enemy's life bar continues to waste away until F.A.N.G. is hit or the enemy dies. Add to this, F.A.N.G. has long-range attacks and slippery movements that make him a worthwhile opponent or a challenging character to play.

The new character's V-Skill named “Nishodoku” shows him firing a slow-moving projectile made of poison. If the projectile makes contact with an enemy, it will slowly deal him/her damage.

His V-Trigger, which is called “Dokunomu,” gives him some kind of “armor” that has both offensive and defensive properties: a poisonous cloud swirls around him, dealing damage to any opponent that comes close.

Post-launch Characters Confirmed

Aside from F.A.N.G., other characters are also returning to the game at post-launch. Alex, Guile, Juri, Ibuki, Balrog and Urien are all coming through next year. They can all be obtained via three ways, as per Gematsu:

First, players can earn in-game Fight Money and use that to purchase the characters.

Next, players who can spare some cash can opt to purchase Zenny, sold in different denominations. Bigger amounts bought also bring more bonus Zenny.

Each of these characters will cost 600 Zenny. Optional premium costumes will also be available for 400 Zenny each.

Lastly, players can purchase the 2016 Season Pass.

The “Street Fighter V” 2016 Season Pass is now available in North America. For European customers, it will be available during the game's launch.

The Season Pass, which sells for $29.99, will enable players to get all six characters along with a premium costume for each one. An exclusive PlayStation 4 theme is also thrown in.

Should players in North America purchase the Season Pass before February 16, Capcom will also include three PS4 avatars (Ryu, Chun-Li and M.Bison) for free.
