'Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens' Trailer & Release Date: Kathleen Kennedy Says George Lucas Saw it, 'Liked It'

The "Star Wars" franchise is one of the most-watched movies of all time. In every movie they release, the anticipation of the fans is unparalleled.

The seventh film of the series, "Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens," will hit the theaters in less than two weeks. However, not many people know about the plot since the production has been very mum about providing any information regarding the movie.

According to Movie Pilot, Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, said that iconic director George Lucas has already seen the final product. She revealed that Lucas "liked it." She also mentioned that the filmmaker, who is said to have changed the face of the movie in the industry, will attend the movie premieres of "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" in Los Angeles and London.

Meanwhile, Lucas is recently honored with lifetime achievements in arts and culture in Washington on Sunday at the Kennedy Center of Honors. He said to have received the award for his works in filmmaking.

Lucas was asked if he had indeed already watched the film, he answered "yes" and said that "the fans are going to love it." "It's very much the kind of movie they've been looking for," he added.

"Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" is under the direction of J.J. Abrams. It will be a surprise how the fans are going to receive the new installment of the franchise since it is no longer Lucas who directed the movie.

Lucas explained in a recent news from Washington Post how he really feels about selling Lucasfilm to Disney. He said that letting go of the American film and television production company felt like having a divorce.

At the same time, seeing the new movie is compared to a "grown child" getting married. "I gotta go to the wedding," Lucas, who is also famous for his beard, said.

"My ex will be there, my new wife will be there, but I'm going to have to take a very deep breath and be a good person and sit through it and just enjoy the moment, because it is what it is and it's a conscious decision that I made."

Going back to what Kathleen Kennedy claimed, Lucas did not exactly mean that he loves the new "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens". He meant that the fans are going to love the new movie.

People may interpret Lucas' statement differently, but they'll have to find it out for themselves when the "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" arrives to theaters in less than two weeks.
