Sneaker News 2015: Nike Kyrie 2 'Tie-Dye', Under Armour Curry 2 'Northern Lights' Out Next Week! [Where To Buy, Release Date & Price]

Although NBA teams' primary battle is on the hardcourt, the battle between the shoe companies that make signature shoes for famous players take it to the streets. Shoe makers Nike and Under Armour are going to release two good-looking signature kicks just in time for Christmas.

Take a look at the Nike Kyrie 2 "Tie-Dye" and the Under Armour Curry 2 "Northern Lights."

Nike Kyrie 2 "Tie-Dye"

Kicks On Fire shared that Nike didn't release many colorways for the Kyrie 1 because of athlete Kyrie Irving's injury that has prevented him from playing up until Christmas season. With the upcoming release of the Kyrie 2, the Kyrie 1 won't have additional releases at all.

The Nike Kyrie 2 debut colorway will be this "tie-dye" version, with the upper area predominantly black and white, the midsection offset by a cross-strap, and the heel and ankle area sporting psychedelic multicolor designs.

The Kyrie 2 "Tie-Dye" is expected to be available starting December 15, priced at $125.

Under Armour Curry 2 "Northern Lights"

Sole Collector reported that Stephen Curry's signature shoe by Under Armour has been inspired by the Aurora Borealis, more known as the "Northern Lights." It just makes sense, with the upcoming All-Star Game being set in Toronto, Canada.

The colorway comes as a mixture of colors found in the Northern Lights: rebel pink, purple panic and poison green – all designed in such a way that mimics the visual show in the sky.

Sneaker News added that a gradient is found between the toecap and the midsection, while the ankle and heel area is given a sky blue color. “I can do all things...” is also found in the heel cage.

Inside the tongue, there's a tag with “NORTH” written on it, accompanied by a globe design.

Obviously, the shoe will catch eyes with that colorway. It seems Under Armour was inspired by both the Northern Lights and the athlete.

“You can't look at the Northern Lights and not be amazed. Just like Stephen's game,” the company wrote in its website.

The Under Armour Curry 2 "Northern Lights" will be available starting December 17, priced at $130.

With these and other offerings this month, shopping for gifts this Christmas season will be a ball game.
