5 Easy Kid-Friendly Treats for Christmas

As Christmas comes near, wouldn't it be nice to have a few snack ideas that you can easily whip up to put some holiday cheer into your kids faces?

Here are some snacks that are easy to make, yet fun to eat.

Chocolate Pretzel Snowmen

Courtesy of Hungry Happenings, this snack will make kids happy.

Get six pieces of Dipping Pretzels that are of the same size. Dip each into melted white chocolate up to about three-fourths, then arrange side by side. Let the chocolate coating set.

Once set, dip the uncoated part into melted dark chocolate. Arrange and let the coating set.

Dip one whole pretzel into the melted chocolate using a fork. Allow excess chocolate to drip, then let it set for a few moments. Once the coating gets a bit hardened, set it horizontally on the bottom edge of the dark chocolate coating found in the six coated pretzels. This will resemble the brim for the snowman's hate.

Paint eyes and mouth using dark chocolate and a small paintbrush. Use melted orange candy melts for the nose.

Fruit Hook

This candy cane-looking snack is a healthy idea from Parenting.

It's so simple! Just get some strawberries and bananas, slice them and arrange them into a form shaped like a hook.

Snowmen Treats

This easy snack is from Flexible Dreams.

Get a skewer, taking care to snip off pointed ends. Skewer some marshmallows, then using chocolate frosting, draw the eyes and the mouth.

You can use pretzel sticks for the arms, Tic Tacs (or other candy substitutes) for the nose and Oreos for the hat.

String Cheese Snowmen

This no-sugar easy snack idea is found on No Biggie.

Get a pack of string cheese and take the individual packs out one by one. Don't take off the individual packaging.

Using a black and orange sharpie, draw eyes, a nose, and the mouth.

Then, cut some square hats made from black card stock, and attach at the top.

Lastly, get some ribbon, and tie around the cheese like a scarf.

Rockin' Wreath

This healthy snack also comes from Parenting.

Get a cucumber and cut into 1-inch thick slices. Then, using a teaspoon, carve a “bowl” into the center of each piece. Fill the “bowl” with low-fat ranch dressing.

Finely chop green bell peppers. Once done, carefully arrange on the rim/edge of the “bowl.”

Cut a thin strip from a red bell pepper, make a small “bow” out of it and attach to the “bowl” using a little ranch dressing.

Have fun with these snacks!
