Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Kids: Actress Slammed Over Children's Elephant Ride, Couple Spotted In Cambodia Flea Market [Photo]

While Angelina Jolie supports a lot of causes, including speaking against ivory poaching in Africa, it looks like she and her family has earned the ire of an animal rights group in Asia. The organization blasted the famous Hollywood royalties as photos of the Jolie-Pitt kids were released over the weekend. They were seen enjoying an elephant ride in Cambodia.

The Jolie-Pitts are currently in the Asian country as Angelina finishes filming her latest directorial endeavor, "First They Killed My Father." The Sun reported that the kids' elephant ride took place during a filming break. Along with other tourists, Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, ten, Shiloh, nine, and Knox, seven were all photographed sitting on make-shift benches on top of the elephants. This prompted members of the Elephant Asia Rescue and Survival Foundations to react and call out on the children's mother. "Seriously Angelina Jolie? Are you that uneducated about the brutal methods of taming and exploitation of elephants in tourism in Asia?" said the group.

Sources told the news outlet that Angelina was not with her kids as she was recovering from a stomach bug when the incident happened. It was the "minders" who let the children join the ride. When the mother of six learned of this, Mirror shared that she apparently became furious. "She hates animal cruelty," said the source.

Yahoo! reported that Angelina actually plans on working on a film about elephant protection in 2016.

Meanwhile, Angelina was spotted scouring the flea market in the city with husband Brad Pitt last Sunday. Per People, the actress was photographed checking garments, with Brad patiently waiting behind his wife.

Angelina is a frequent visitor to Cambodia and have strong ties to the country, having adopted her first child, Maddox here. In fact, per another People report, the film she is currently working on is about Cambodia's history and it's based on the memoir of Loung Ung. "It deepened forever my understanding of how children experience war and are affected by the emotional memory of it. And it helped me draw closer still to the people of Cambodia, my son's homeland," the actress said.

The Jolie-Pitts' recent Cambodia activities come at a time when the couple's marriage is once again rocked by another divorce rumor. A tabloid claimed Angelina and Brad have secret divorce papers. However, the report was debunked by Gossip Cop, saying that the tabloid used the bait-and-switch tactic on their cover story to mislead readers.
