'Apple Watch 2' Release Date & Price: Smartwatch Out in March 2016? Know The Advantages And Disadvantages Here!

The first Apple Smart Watch was released April of this year and since has been in the top two spot for number of sales in wearables, next to the fitness wearable FitBit. According to some reports, the company was already working on the Apple Watch 2 after the first Apple Watch was revealed. 

A next generation of Apple-designed smartwatch is rumored to be launched in an upcoming special event scheduled in March 2016, Macworld reports. The report mentioned that the new Apple Watch 2 will be released with iPhone 6c and iPad Air 3.

In an exclusive interview with The Telegraph, Tim Cook dropped hints that the company may make a medically approved device, but it wouldn't be the Apple Watch. Cook said that the disruption that FDA accreditation would cause to the product release cycle, which ultimately put him off having the Apple Watch vetted for full-blown health use. Despite of that, the idea of building a product for use in the medical world remains unbroken:

"We don't want to put the watch through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) process. I wouldn't mind putting something adjacent to the watch through it, but not the watch, because it would hold us back from innovating too much, the cycles are too long," Cook said. "But you can begin to envision other things that might be adjacent to it-maybe an app, maybe something else." 

Consumers can expect the Apple Watch 2 to be equipped with more health sensors for better health tracking and monitoring, as well as support for sending SMS and email even without an iPhone. Another feature that is rumored to be added to the wearable is a FaceTime camera that can be used for FaceTime calls also without an iPhone.

A March announcement is likely, especially since this was around the same time that the first Apple Watch was announced. A month later, the wearable was released in the market. Since the rumors say that the second generation will be unveiled by March, it is most likely that its release will be by April 2016.
