Tech Gadget Central shared that Sony will soon announce the release date of PlayStation 5 (PS5). To recall, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, said in April 2014 that the tech company has its very good reasons to already develop PlayStation 5. "If they [developers] still feel that we need more machine power - 'We want to realize this and that and that, but we cannot do [it] with PS4," he said at that time.

Gamers should expect for a thinner, sleeker and lighter PlayStation since the new and upcoming gadget will have a new design and will no longer carry disc drives. PS5 games will have to be digitally downloaded or streamed instead of instead of inserting physical discs in the gadget.

Meanwhile, fans think that Sony will be releasing PlayStation 5 much sooner after it was confirmed that the newest Xbox by Microsoft will soon enter the market. The two tech giants have been battling for console war dominance since then.

Microsoft executive Phil Spencer said that fans should expect Xbox Two in the future. "I fully expect that you'll see another console from us [...] Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future," he said in an interview with The Verge.
