Meet Alisa Sadikova, Young Musical Wonder Who Plays Like an Angel

Alisa Sadikova looks like a normal 12-year old girl. Behind her innocent looks and a childish demeanor, she is actually a harp prodigy from St. Petersburg who started learning the harp at the very young age of 6 thorugh her mentor Olga Shevelevich.

Renowned harpist Olga Shevelevich, who is also a family friend, discovered Alisa when she heard her play the harp six years ago. According to her, she knew she was in front of something "prodigious" when she first heard her learn and play a piece immediately that she just taught her on the spot.

The young musical genius prefers lyrical and emotional pieces such as those of Russian composer Mikhail Glinka. For years, she has maintained a professional training habit with Shevelevich and now she has been continuously making waves in the world of classical music.

The video below shows and highlights her mystical performance of an incredible piece, "The Fountain" by Marcel L. Grandjany. The little Russian gal was just 10 years old when this video was taken and recorded.

She performed at the II festival "Days of the Russian Culture in Baden-Baden" in Baden-Baden, Germany from April 25 to May 8, 2013. The harp prodigy has regular performances in Germany at Moscow Festivals "Harp Art of Russia" and a lot more.

Her "fans" can continiously catch her shows and recitals on stage at the St. Petersburg state conservatory (academy) named N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, at the stage of the Small Hall named M. I. Glinka of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic Hall of D. D. Shostakovich, in the palace of grand duke Vladimir Aleksandrovich, and lastly, at the stage of the White Hall of the St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University.

A certain blog challenged music lovers and buffs out there: It’s hard to believe you’re not looking at a little angel playing the harp. If you enjoyed her piece in this video, come and share this great performance with your family, children and friends. Gotcha!
