NBA Trade Rumors: Derrick Rose Done With Chicago Bulls, Becomes Free Agent Moves To New York Knicks

Derrick Rose may be the highest earning player in Chicago Bulls but that does not mean that he is discounting the opportunity to play for another team for a much higher salary.

According to Inquisitr, multiple sources claim that Rose is no longer happy playing for the Bulls. He may have earned a little over $20 million in 2015, but turns out another team may be willing to shell out more for the NBA player.

In September, Rose said that although they were doing "alright" financially, he wanted to go the extra mile to save up for his son, Derrick Rose Jr.'s future. The outlet speculated that this may actually be a hint that he is thinking of transferring to another team.

"Even though we're alright, we're comfortable, when you talk about that x-amount of dollars, I think it raises everyone's eyebrows, so there's nothing wrong with being over-prepared," he explained.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst admitted that he was not surprised to hear about the latest trade rumors surrounding Rose and the Chicago Bulls. He pointed out that their relationship has been strained following his injury. The sportswriter even went far as saying that the Bulls has "moved on" from Rose.

Although Windhorst was very sympathetic of Rose, saying that it was not his fault that his knee got hurt, he pointed out that the athlete made several comments which probably irked the team. In recent interviews, Rose had been very vocal about looking forward to being a free agent this 2017.

"His attitude is not terrific," Windhorst added.

According to Real GM, the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls could consider striking a deal to trade Jose Calderon for Derrick Rose. The outlet pointed out that the Knicks has been struggling in spite of the addition of Phil Jackson to the team. With the addition of Rose in the roster, Carmelo Anthony may just have a shot in getting his first NBA championship.
