‘Frozen 2’ Release Date, Cast, Plot & News Update: Queen Elsa To Die As Anna Goes Evil In The Upcoming Sequel? What We Know So Far

Several fans are no excited to take a glimpse of the most-awaited sequel of the record-breaking blockbuster film "Frozen." Though there is no exact date as to when will "Frozen 2" will be released to theatres worldwide, it is expect to be out in 2018.

Since "Frozen" has won the hearts of many moviegoers, it comes to no surprise that it is having its sequel. As a matter of fact, Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney's chief creative officer John Lasseter told Variety how excited they are in doing the upcoming film.

"Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle," he told the entertainment news outlet. "We are so excited about that."

With this, fans have now speculated the things that might happen in "Frozen 2." 

Olaf Gets A Lovelife

Movie News Guide reported that Olaf will have a new love interest in "Frozen 2," which is  Eliana. Speculations about Anna's popular sidekick getting a new girlfriend spread like wildfire when Josh Gad, who lends voice to Olaf, have hinted that the fun and lovable snowman will be having his female counterpart in "Frozen 2."

Anna Goes Evil

Since Anna is said to discover her hidden supernatural powers in "Frozen 2," several fans claimed that she might be the newest antagonist of her own sister Queen Elsa. Cross Map previously reported that the forthcoming "Frozen" sequel will be more about forgiveness and giving of second chances.

Moreover, it was predicted that there will be several changes in the plot of "Frozen 2" including the female villain, the change of heart of Prince Hans and the revelation of the evil super powers of Princess Anna.

Elsa Will Dies

It was previously revealed that directorial duo Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will reprise their roles as directors in "Frozen 2." As a matter of fact, Buck divulged during an interview that the upcoming sequel of "Frozen" will have an unhappy ending.

"In the movie, Elsa went through a very dramatic character arc, and in this one, she got to lighten up. We saw a bit more of her personality," Buck told MTV. "So then we started thinking about what we could do with all of these characters in another film. We had a nice happy ending at the end of the first one, but what's next?"

Whether or not these speculations are true, no one can confirm yet. However, with all the hype and buzz "Frozen 2" has been creating, it is surely going to be one of the most-awaited films of all time.
