'Halo 5' January Update: New Maps, Armor, Weapons And Skins; Play Arts Kai Releases New Action Figures Based Off Game

"Halo 5: Guardians" has been a smash hit ever since it was released late last year for the Xbox One. Now the game is only going to get better once developer 343 Industries rolls out the new updates for the game due this January.

343 Industries has recently moved into a new office space, but that does not mean that they will take a break from work. Andy Dudynsky has recently talked about discussions surrounding "increasing XP rewards for featured playlists, community Forge playlists, new game modes, and more" on one of his official blog posts on Halo Waypoint. "Turns out the Multiplayer Team is already working on all of the above and more," he adds.

Dudynsky's post showed the new 343 office as well as people's feedback to their past update to "Guardians." It also included a community spotlight in which he shares his favorite maps created by members of the Halo community. A play of the week is also included.

According to a report on the International Business Times, the update will include new multiplayer maps and weapons, as well as armor. New skins for weapons and armor will be made available as well. Gotta Be Mobile reports that gamers will get these updates free of charge, unlike in previous Halo titles.

This major update is slated for release by the end of the month. Until then, 343 has been tweaking other aspects of the game to make the experience a whole lot better. They started by improving their servers to speed up the matchmaking process in multiplayer. Ranked play was also made a lot better to further improve the multiplayer experience.

For those who cannot wait to get their hands on the new update, Play Arts Kai has recently released a new line of action figures based on the best-selling video game.
