'Samsung Galaxy 7' Release Dates, Updates, Announcements: Samsung’s Next Major Phones Will Come In Two Sizes [VIDEO]

Samsung's next major phones, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge would have a 5.2-inch version which is the standard size and the 5.5-inch version that has curved sides. The smartphones will have a possible launch this February 2016.

Samsung is the only company that makes vertically curve-edged screen display, according to CNET. Sources say that the stocks of the previous line S6 were immediately outstripped due to their in-demand supply.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are now developing under the project name of "HERO1" and "HERO2" and will mass produce this upcoming month. Sources have also said that the company is ready to launch about 5 million smartphones.

Following Apple's successful latest phone release, Samsung is now focused in maintaining their sales by upgrading the finest quality features of their smartphones. "Samsung Electronics is preparing for a two-track strategy to approach premium phone market more in detail." A source from Samsung said.

Rumors have started that the next major phones will have an iris scanner for unlocking your phone. It is one of the great alternatives in securing your phones instead of making a pattern and using PIN codes.

The S7 line will also have the same approach to Apple's 3D Touch. The pressure sensitive touch screen will make an addition to the 3D Touch feature of smartphones.

There will be also a boost in low light camera settings since it's the most common problem in the phone. The new camera that will be installed in the new smartphones is called the "Britecell". Sources have said that Britecell has a 20MP image sensor feature, has an RWB color pattern for enhanced light sensitivity.

Last but not the least, there are surrounding rumors that Qualcomm will return to its full glory. As many of Samsung users know, the previous S6 smartphones used the Samsung Exynos processor instead of Qualcomm.
