'No Man's Sky' Release Date & Update: Highly Anticipated Game Will Be Delayed; Planned Xbox One And VR Head Gear Launch Reason For Delay?

The highly-anticipated video game "No Man's Sky" by Hello Games was slated to be release earlier this year. "No Man's Sky" release has been teasing the fans and gamers for over three years now with its first debut in Spike VGX 2013. The newest trailer of "No Man's Sky" was released last December 2015 and fans have been anticipating for the release date.

"No Man's Sky" was created exclusively for PlayStation 4, but the game developers of "No Man's Sky" realize that Sony Xbox is also a great platform to carry the game as well. However, due to some conflicting issues with Microsoft, "No Man's Sky" release might be pushed later this year.

In a clause on Microsoft Xbox, there is a parity policy which states that Xbox must have the first or equal rights of "No Man's Sky" release date but PlayStation 4 has already beaten them to that. However, Microsoft has expressed that they are willing to meet half way with the game developers of "No Man's Sky" if they find that the parity policy is too constricting.

The delay in the release of "No Man's Sky" might also be due to the fact that the game developers are looking at the prospects of releasing the game on the Sony Morpheus VR. Sean Murray of "No Man's Sky" was asked about the possibility of the game being released on the VR was very tight-lipped about it.

"I don't know what I'm allowed to say," Murray commented. "It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe. I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way."

"No Man's Sky" is a science fiction game that allows players to explore and create their own worlds. The game has been dubbed as an "Open Universe."
