The death of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) after he was stabbed to death by his comrades in the ending episode of "Game of Thrones" Season 5 has created a buzz among fans who are arguing whether or not the beloved character will leave the popularHBO TV series. Now, new reports claimed that Harrington is confirmed to reprise his role as Jon Snow in "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

E! Online reported that "GoT" star Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, has confirmed that Jon Snow is definitely coming back in the TV series. It was awful. It was awful," the actress told the news outlet during the London Film Critic's Circle Awards.

"Everyone was so sad about it, and I feel so mean because I speak to people and they're all like, 'Jon Snow, is he back?'" she added. "And it's really heartbreaking because people are like, 'Yeah, but he's coming back though?' It's a great twist, but I can't say he's going to be alive."

Speculations of Jon Snow's major comeback was confirmed to some extent when Mashable noted that Maisie put an emphasis on the word "alive" while saying the last line. Also, the entertainment news outlet noticed that the actress made face after saying which could be a hint of what is about to happen on the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

To recall, Kit has been claiming these past few months that his character is dead and is not coming back to "GoT" any longer. As a matter of fact, the whole production team and cast, including Emilia Clarke, remained silent about what is going to happen to Jon Snow in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 6.

Emilia shared a bit of the Jon Snow's fate at the Golden Globes Party of HBO. "I really can't say much apart from you'll see the biggest moments on television that have ever existed," the actress, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, stated at that time.

Meanwhile, Maisie shared her excitement for the new and forthcoming season of "Game of Thrones." "I loved shooting this series, I think people are going to really enjoy it," she said. "Everything is now sort of wracking up and slotting into place for like, the finale, and I love that all the pieces are coming together."
