'The Flash' Season 2 Episode Spoilers: Candice Patton on Barry & Iris—Is it Finally Going to Happen?

"The Flash" fans have been eager for Barry (Grant Gustin) to really get the girl for more than a year. Iris (Candice Patton) is the girl who he had been eyeing for since the show debuted on The CW in 2014.

He did share a kiss with Felicity, who is from "Arrow," for a moment but it looks like just an amiable one. In spite of the crossover, he belonged to other television series.

Actress Candice Patton talked with Entertainment Weekly. She shared about the possibilities during the second half of season two.

"From what I'm seeing, the relationship between Barry and Iris will be strong on every Earth, to some degree. It's safe to say that there is some sort of relationship-friendship between Barry and Iris on Earth-2," the 27-year-old actress said. "I won't say what that is or how that looks, but it's safe to say they are friends and close to some degree no matter where we find them."

Patton also gave a clue at the possible relationship Earth 2 Barry and Iris have, as per IGN. He said that their relationship does go beyond time and Earth and, no matter what universe they are in, they somehow always get to bump into each other.

What could be the difference? According to Patton, Earth 2 Iris is "pretty damn tough" than the Iris fans got to know during the first season.

"The Flash" viewers can anticipate more new characters as the show returns. As a matter of fact, Aaron Douglas will be part of the show to play The Turtle, as reported by Collider. On the other hand, Danielle Panabaker's Dr. Caitlyn Snow will play as Killer Frost and, her on-screen fiance, Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) will have a comeback as Deathstorm.
