Kitten with Neurological Condition Called Wobbly Cat Syndrome Is Looking For A Loving Home

This kitten might have an unsteady strut, but she's bound to capture your heart. Last week, love poured towards the Watauga Humane Society after the pet shelter introduced Olive, a black and white cat with a neurological condition called "Wobbly Cat Disorder."

Two weeks ago, Watauga Humane Society posted a short video clip of Olive on Facebook. The kitten immediately drew attention from all over the world partly because she's an adorable little button, and also because she is exhibiting a rare neurological condition that causes her to fall at random and uncontrollably bob her head.

"Say hello to Olive! She is a sweet girl that we believe has Wobbly Kitten Syndrome, a neurological disorder that affects her ability to move properly, but we will confirm this after her vet appointment this week," the shelter explained. "Olive does not let her condition stand in her way! She is very much a normal and playful kitten."

Watauga Humane Society also claims that Olive, like normal pets, likes to play with her toys, cuddle with her human, and loves to be showered with attention and affection. She might have a rare condition, but she has a big heart overflowing with so much love.

She even found a bestfriend in Marley, one of the senior cats in the shelter, who was adopted two weeks ago. The two found time to snuggle one last time before they said their happy good byes.

Happy tail! One of our senior cats, Marley, was able to get in some last minute snuggles with his office roommate Olive...

Hello, friends! Olive is doing great!! Her vet appointment confirmed she does have Wobbly Kitten Syndrome, also known as...

Despite her condition, many were enamored by this energetic and, undoubtedly, a loving ball of fur. Many have immediately shown interest in adopting Olive and the shelter was soon overwhelmed with inquiries from homes all over the world.

A quick visit to the vet confirmed what everyone already suspected: that Olive has a condition called "Wobbly Cat Disorder." According to VetBook.org, the neurological syndrome causes the feline to appear wobbly, uncoordinated, or have an unsteady gait. This is a congenital problem that might be inherited, but an infection. exposure to toxins, or thiamine deficiency might have caused the cat's erratic movements.

Olive has not been adopted yet, but since her video was posted on Facebook, applications to become her new family have started coming in, so, there is no doubt that the Internet's new favorite fur ball will find her forever home soon.

In the meantime, everyone who is passionate about saving cats and dogs can donate to the shelter in the name of Olive. You can check out the link provided on the Facebook post below for more details.
