Marijuana May Have Saved Child's Life

Six year-old boy suffering from Dravet syndrome has been potentially cured by medical marijuana, KCRA reports.

Jason David, father of six-year old Jayden David chronicled the ups and downs he experienced with his son who was diagnosed with Dravet syndrome while he was still a baby.

The Facebook page entitled: Jason and Jayden's Journey became an instant hit because it featured news and updates pertaining to Jayden's condition.

On one of the posts, Jason wrote about the time he thought his son would no longer survive the serious condition because he was experiencing seizures for 24 hours which also prohibited him from walking and talking.

David told reporters of KRCA that his son has been rushed to hospital by ambulances at least 40 times throughout his short life, and has also been used to taking 22 pills a day for his medications - but none of them worked.

As a last resort, David decided to turn to what is known as the "medical marijuana," a form of liquid that contains a component known as CBD.

Jayden's pediatrician prescribes it to his son because it maintains certain medicinal qualities, while giving the kid less of a high.

Jayden has been getting a few drops of 'medical marijuana' per day for the past two years and his improvements are very much evident.

Jason shared to a KRCA reporter that his son is now very independent - he plays and walks on his own.
