"Prison Break" Season 5 will see the return of Wentworth Miller as Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell as Michael's brother, Lincoln Burrows. In an interview with NBC's "Today Show" Miller shared some exciting details about the upcoming reboot of the crime drama, Melty reported.

"I think a lot of the fans are really excited to see where these characters are now - especially mine as my character died twice at the end of the original," Miller said.

As most fans and viewers can recall, Michael Scofield died during the end of "Prison Break" movie. However, it has been revealed that Season 5 will take place right after Season 4 and just before the movie.

"Prison Break" Season 5 spoilers also reveal that the manner in which Mike will make it back alive from the dead will be something unique and special. Fans previously believed that his return may have something to do with him faking his brain tumor, but network executives claim otherwise.

Miller also admitted that he never expected to see himself reprising the role after it came to a conclusion in 2009.

"This is a treat and a privilege," he added.

Meanwhile, Express noted that the release date of "Prison Break" Season 5 may take place in the latter half of this year or in 2017.

There have been rumors that the release date of the Fox series reboot has been delayed because of multiple issues. Both Miller and Purcell have tight schedules because of their recurring guest role for "Legends of Tomorrow." Actress Sarah Wayne Callies is currently "trying to make it work" with the series creators.
