Donald Faison and CaCee Cobb Welcome Their First Child

Actor Donald Faison, former Scrubs star, and wife CaCee Cobb welcomed their first baby, a boy, Thursday.

"Yesterday @caceecobb and I welcomed the most amazing little boy into our lives! Oh Happy Day!!" Faison tweeted Friday. And Cobb re-tweeted her husband's message adding, "The happiest day of my life."

The baby is Faison's fifth child and Cobb's first. The couple began dating in 2006 and married in December 2012 at Faison's best friend Zach Braff's home , who was his groomsman. Cobb's closest pal Jessica Simpson served as a bridesmaid. Cobb formerly worked as a personal assistant to Simpson.

The couple announced  the pregnancy earlier this year. Cobb said that Simpson was a huge support to her. "She's been great about telling me what I need and what I don't need, and to sleep and to relax. She tells me not to stress out about stuff and to not kill my husband." At the time Simpson was expecting her second baby.

"Imagine if you and your best friend were pregnant at the same time - CaCee's loving it," Faison told PEOPLE. "They hang out all the time anyway, but now they hang out and talk baby stuff, look at baby stuff online, and go shopping for baby stuff together," he revealed  about Cobb and Simpson. Faison jokingly added, "My character at work is a ladies' man. When I go home, I'm a b-h. I'm her b-h."

The 39-year-old 'Scrubs star ' was married to Lisa Askey from 2001 to 2005. He is already father to Kobe, 11, Dade and Kaya, 13, and Sean, 16, from past relationships.
