Statistics of Homicide and Domestic Abuse Affecting Toddlers Is On An Alarming Rate In America

It is only the first week of the second month of this year, but reports about innocent toddlers getting killed are already rising. Most of these babies suffer from domestic abuse and some are even victims of gang related issues that they just get randomly shot for no reason. It is about time for everyone to do something about this issue and create awareness to prevent it from happening to more children in the coming days.

It would help to learn about the statistics of this ongoing problem related to child abuse and the homicide of such innocent lives. According to the organization Do Something, there are about five children that die globally every day due to child abuse. It is alarming to know that in America, over four children die from this case on a daily basis and most of them experience it out of neglect. More than 70 percent of these kids are under the age of three.

If you will conduct a search on the Internet about the murders of toddlers, you will be shocked to see that the search results would provide you a lot of them in a day. Just today alone, WUSA9 reported a man was arrested for murdering his two-year-old daughter along with the child's mother in Fort Washing, Md in the morning of Feb. 2. The culprit, Daron Boswell-Johnson, 25, admitted the crime after police arrested and charged him with double murder.

The toddler, Chloe Nichole Davis-Green was found in a car nearby while strapped on her seat. She was shot but was still breathing when the cops saw her, but eventually died after taking her to the hospital.

Deaths of toddlers could be prevented. The lack of awareness in crimes like this is among the reasons why the murder and abuse of toddlers are on the rise. Parents should always keep themselves informed what is happening in their surroundings and they should also know other things that would help in defending the welfare of their child.
