‘Fast and Furious 8’ Release Date, Cast & Update: Vin Diesel Confirms ‘Fast and Furious 9,’ ‘Fast and Furious 10,’ Eva Mendes To Appear In The Film?

Several fans have been patiently waiting for the release of "Fast and Furious 8" since it was confirmed to be already in the works. Now, it seems like avid followers of the "Fast and Furious" series have to wait for another two sequels as Vin Diesel announced Wednesday its release dates via an Instagram photo.

Vin's post indicated three more "Fast and Furious" films and its supposed showing dates. Per the photo, it was stated: "2 Decades, 10 Films and 1 Saga."

First movie to come out is the "Fast and Furious 8," which is slated for release on April 14, 2017; followed by "Fast and Furious 9," which will be available for viewing on April 19, 2019; and "Fast and Furious 10," which will be released April 2, 2021. Despite the fact that there were no official statements released from Universal, fans are hopeful that the "Fast and Furious" series will end after the tenth film.

To recall, there were reports which claimed that Paul Walker's demise is also the end of the "Fast and Furious" series. Fortunately, the production, cast and crew were positive enough to finish what they have started even with the shocking departure of one of its lead star.

Having a sequel for the "Fast and Furious 7" is highly likely following its success in the global box-office, garnering a whopping $1 billion earnings. Hence, it comes to no surprise that "Fast and Furious 8" is coming even without Paul, who plays as Brian O'Connor.

Meanwhile, it has already been confirmed that most of the cast members from the "Fast and Furious 7" will be reprising their role in the forthcoming "Fast and Furious 8" film. As a matter of fact, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Kurt Russell, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are expected to appear in the upcoming movie.

Aside from these artists, it is also reported that Eva Mendes will be appearing in the seventh installment to play the role of agent Monica Fuentes. If true, she will be working along with Dom and Hobbs.

What can you say that, aside from "Fast and Furious 8," you'll now have to start looking forward to "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10"? What do you expect to happen in the last three films of the "Fast and Furious" series? Share to us your thoughts in the comment section below.
