‘Outlander’ Season 2 Updates: Sam Heughan Teases Less Sensual Scenes Between Jamie and Claire [Spoilers]

"Outlander" Season 2 is nearing its return on TV, as the Starz time traveler series is set to premiere this April. As the show is expected to take on a political spin, stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe tease that there may be less sensual scenes between their respective characters, Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall.

"Outlander" Season 2 may feature less sensual scenes between Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), as the two will ultimately face challenges in their relationship.

Aside from the fact that Jamie and Claire will head over to France to stop the Jacobite Rising, the two will also need to take care of their own issues and personal matters. Claire revealed during the season finale of "Outlander" that she is pregnant and Jamie suffered from a traumatic experience with Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies).

Speaking to Elle, Heughan and Balfe admitted that things may be different between Jamie and Claire in "Outlander" Season 2.

"The honeymoon is kind of over," Heughan said. "But that doesn't mean they won't get back there. They have a lot going on and they're working on their relationship. Their relationship is less innocent and young. It's now more grown up."

Balfe also noted that Claire and Jamie have a lot of things going on in their marriage.

"It really tests them and tests how strong their bond is," she said.

Well, Jamie and Claire's romance and its effect on the audience may have something to do with the onscreen chemistry between Heughan and Balfe.

Inquisitr reported that Heughan and Balfe were both rumored to have something special going on. However, both "Outlander" stars have denied having any romance between them.

"We're not together," Balfe said. "It's funny. We've always said from the get-go that we're incredibly great friends... We're not together. I'm sorry to break people's hearts."
