‘Finding Carter’ Season 3 Renewed on Netflix? Alex Saxon Hopes to See Max Embrace the Dark Side

"Finding Carter" has been officially canceled on MTV after two seasons. This came as a surprise to fans and viewers, especially because the series ended with a cliffhanger. Will the show be renewed in another network?

Fans all over the world started a petition in hopes of seeing "Finding Carter" continue in another network. On Care2Petitions, fans expressed their disappointment over MTV's decision to cancel the show without giving them proper closure.

"For too long, MTV has cancelled our favorite shows, just to create these news ones that we don't care about. It needs to stop," the petition reads.

The petition has 3,774 supporters, which is 250 short of its 4,000 goal as of writing.

Carter Matt noted that while it is likely impossible for MTV to renew the show for Season 3 after announcing its cancelation, "Finding Carter" may find home in another network.

The publication noted on the possibility that "Finding Carter" Season 3 may be renewed on Netflix or Amazon.

The outlet reported, however, that many fans were disappointed by Amazon's decision not to pick up "Hannibal" after NBC decided to cancel the series. Amazon reportedly decided not to do so because "they would rather develop and create their own properties rather than pick up some originally cultivated elsewhere."

Alex Saxon, who plays the role of Max, told TV Insider in an earlier interview that should "Finding Carter" land a new home for Season 3, he hopes to see his character finally embrace the dark side, Yibada reported.

"I'd like to think part of why Max is so empathetic to everybody around him and conscious of taking care of people and not hurting anybody is because he knows the evil, the darkness that's out there," he said. "Now he can actually really embrace that stuff, as opposed to always just playing in the light."
