FitBit Can Tell You if You're Pregnant before You're Even Pregnant

The rise of FitBit fitness trackers means a lot of convenience to health buff and fitness gurus alike. It has evolved from a simple sensor to keep track of the user's bodily movements to a pregnancy detector!

The news of the Fitbit pregnancy, as reported by the Daily Mail, has been around for days when a Reddit user named YoungPTone posted about the apparent high heart rate activity of his wife as shown in her FitBit.

"My wife's Fitbit is showing her heartbeat being consistently high over the last few days," YoungPTone said. "Also, her calories burned do seem accurate. I would imagine if she was in the fat burning zone she would burn a ton of calories, so it's not lining up. I'm not sure if something is wrong with the sensor. is there a way to reset or recalibrate the device? Id like to try that before I contact customer service about a possible replacement."

At first, he thought that their unit is broken and in need of repair, but when another user posted this comment "Has she experienced anything really stressful in the last few days or is it a possibility she is pregnant?" That's the time that the couple, David and Ivonne, started to entertain the fact that his wife might actually be pregnant.

According to Inquistr, there have been countless discussions that are happening in the FitBit Community forum about detection of pregnancy thru FitBit. The fitness tracker read Ivonne's heart rate as high as 110 beats per minute, even at rest - which is way over the normal heart rate of 60 to 100 beats per minute as reported by the  Mayo Clinic. Doubting the accuracy of the tracker, she turned to her husband for help - only to discover the great news with the help of Reddit.

David thanked everyone in Reddit for helping them determine the real score about her wife's high heart rate. At present, Ivonne is four weeks on the way and is due for their first born to see the world in October 2016.
