Hilaria Thomas Gives Birth, Alec Baldwin Becomes Father for the Second Time

And baby makes three!

Alec Baldwin and wife Hilaria Thomas welcomed their daughter Carmen Gabriela Baldwin, Friday.  This is the first child of the 55-year-old actor with Thomas. The new mom announced the news on Twitter.

"We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our daughter Carmen Gabriela. She is absolutely perfect," Thomas, wrote.

Baldwin, who won the 2013 SAG Award for Best Actor for his role in "30 Rock", started dating yoga instructor Thomas in 2011 and tied the knot in June 2012. The couple announced the pregnancy mid-February 2013.

The 29-year-old mom, who works as Extra's lifestyle correspondent and Baldwin, who is well known for his role as Jack Donaghy on NBC's "30 Rock", confirmed that they were expecting a baby girl in March.

Apart from the new addition, Baldwin has a 17-year-old daughter named Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

More baby news can be expected from the couple in the future as they had earlier mentioned their plans to try for a second child and complete their family. "I want to have at least one of each, so whatever this is going to be, I want to have the next one [be the opposite sex]," said Thomas, revealing her wish, according to People magazine.

Life as a new mom is going to be easier for Thomas as Baldwin is ready to stay at home to look after their baby.

"My dream is to be home with the baby. Standing in the doorway, saying goodbye to mommy," Baldwin told Extra. "Mommy is going to work now. Bye mommy, see ya when you come back!"

Baldwin is the third "30 Rock actor" to become a dad, recently.  He joins his co-stars James Marsden (who appeared as Criss, a love interest for Liz Lemon) and Tracy Morgan.
