Two-star Michelin Restaurant Sent A Threatening Mail To A Mother Who Cancelled Her Table Reservation Because Her Daughter Is Sick

The 46-year-old mother Helen Hall received a rude email from the two-star Michelin restaurant after cancelling her reservation because her daughter was feeling unwell. Reports say that Hall’s daughter had an infection in her chest and was later on hospitalized.

Hall decided to book a table for two at Restaurant Sat Bains, Nottingham as a Christmas present for her husband, according to DailyMail . Hall had to deposit £90 for the table to be reserved but had to cancel due to the emergency.

Hall called the restaurant and told them to just cancel the reservation and book them on the other day. Hall was told that she should find a customer who would replace them because their cancellation policy requires at least 72-hour notice or they will lose their deposit.

Hall, who was shocked by the management’s treatment, posted a rant on her social media saying “Very upset, lousy customer service”. She also said that she tried replacing their table but she’s too busy taking care of her daughter. The management quickly responded to her rant by agreeing to refund the deposit along with a rude email calling her a bad mother.

Reports claimed that the management of the restaurant said that Hall shouldn’t treat the restaurant’s staff like that and she isn’t welcome to come back after all. Sat Bains also said that she shouldn’t be pestering restaurants if she knows her child is ill.

“May I suggest that you spend more time looking after your daughter than writing hilarious remarks about us on social media, we hope she is better as Asthma sufferers ourself know how bad it can get, what does surprise me is that if my child was as poorly as yours and indeed as you mentioned needed hospital treatment, i’d be at my wits end and not pestering a restaurant on there clear and concise cancellation policy” Sat Bains’ management said.
