Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Divorce: 'Batman Vs Superman' Actor, 'Alias' Star Spend Valentine's Day Together, Is Ben Affleck's Batman Similar To Real Life Affleck?

"Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Ben Affleck and estranged wife "Alias" star Jennifer Garner spent Valentine's Day together - with their kids. Affleck and Garner have consistently kept a united front for the sake of their children Violet 10, Seraphina 7, and Samuel, 3.

Recent news surfaced that Affleck and Garner may yet have hope of reconciliation but, for now, husband and wife have both tried to protect their children against any trauma from their separation. As Ben Affleck describes the unique angle of his role in "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice," a few similarities may be drawn between the actor and his role.

Life & Style magazine reports that not just Valentine's Day, but all of Valentine's weekend saw Affleck and Garner together in Montana. According to Us Weekly, Affleck, Garner, Seraphina and Samuel took a private plane for a "ski week break" at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky. The family also spent Christmas in Montana with Violet in tow.

Although Affleck and Garner may have fans hopeful to see "Daredevil" and "Elektra" making another go of their marriage, a source told US that the efforts between Affleck and Garner are really only for their children.

"They want their kids' childhood memories to still be good," the source said. "But just because they still spend time together doesn't mean a reconciliation is in the cards. Ben and Jen are together only for the kids, not romantically." Whether or not happy ending is waiting down the line remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, Comic Book Resources reports that Ben Affleck was recently interviewed about his role as Batman in DC's "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice." The DC film, also stars Henry Cavill as Superman. Although Affleck found his role on this side of intimidating, he said that Batman in "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" is a different take on "The Dark Knight."

"He's a little over the hill - broken," Affleck said. "He's kind of given up. And when Superman shows up he's like so powerful that he threatens everything that Batman kind of believes in, and it leads to this conflict. So it wasn't like I had to play Batman in his prime, so that was at least the excuse that I told myself."
