Kanye West Leaked 'SNL' Meltdown: Source Says 'He Was Venting His Frustration'

An audio of Kanye West's alleged meltdown while on "Saturday Night Live" has recently been leaked. In spite of several criticisms from media and fans, the source of the expletive audio has come to defend "The Life of Pablo" singer.

Based on the audio clip, which was obtained by the New York Post's Page Six, 38-year-old West is heard yelling, "Don't f-k with me," after finding out that producers had abolished part of the set for his musical performance on the NBC show.

Furthermore, a separate source told People earlier this week that West was "upset as they dismantled half his staging 30 minutes prior to showtime."

On the other hand, a source close to Kanye West told People that he wasn't yelling at the 'SNL" staff, but instead was venting his frustration.

"This audio was secretly recorded while he was venting his frustration in a private moment with his team," the source explained. "He found out his stage design was changed and taken apart under the direction of the show's lighting director without anyone's approval."

The source further explained the context behind Kanye's frustration, "He had spent an entire day rehearsing and [put] a lot of hard work into the performance."

"Dramatic set changes were made 30 minutes before going live. It should be understandable why he was upset after being completely blindsided," the source continued.

At one point in the audio, it even seemed as though Kanye West was ready to leave his "SNL" performance behind. "Now I ain't gonna do this. We're breaking the mother f-king Internet. I went through six years of this f-king s-t," he said.

He then continued, "Let's get to it, bro." West repeats the message to himself as he increases the volume of his voice. "Let's get to it, bro!"
