Apple 9.2.1 iOS Bug News & Update: Fixes You Need to Know

Apple has released their latest iOS update - the iOS 9.2.1. This update only offers minor bug fixes and security updates. There won't be any new feature as it is only a minor iOS update.

iOS 9.2.1 is the first iteration of the iOS 9.2 and it is already the fifth update since the first release of the iOS 9. It followed iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1, iOS 9.0.2 and iOS 9.2. The first beta of the iOS 9.2.1 started on Dec. 16, 2015. The third and final beta started at the beginning of January. Then, iOS 9.2.1 has been officially launched. Not too long after the iOS 9.2.1 is made available to the public, the first beta of iOS 9.3 has already been seeded to developers, the Cult of Mac stated.

Among the issues that are solved in the introduction of iOS 9.2.1 is the issue that is encountered by those who are using the Mobile Device Management (MDM) server, the GSM Arena reported. In the iOS 9.2, the app installation of those who are using MDM server is often interrupted. Thus, they are not able to completely install the apps that they want to install.

Another issue in the iOS 9.2 is its time zone bug in iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus handsets. So, what is a time-zone bug? It is the bug that makes the battery indicator of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus whenever the smartphone user changes the time in its phone from one time zone to another.

No, the bug won't drain the battery of the phone easily. The battery will still work perfectly. However, the battery percentage that will be shown by the battery indicator is no longer the right thing considering that it will be frozen. Therefore, it will be difficult for the phone user to determine whether it is already time for him to re-charge his smartphone or not.

Currently, Apple is still doing their best to find the cause and the solution for the time zone bug.

Unfortunately, according to Ars Technica, there is still no bug fix available for this time zone bug in the newly released iOS 9.2.1. It is expected that there will be an available bug fix for this issue in the forthcoming iOS 9.3 considering that it will be a major iOS update.

Aside from the bug fix for the time zone bug, it is also expected that the iOS 9.3 will bring major security updates, major bug fixes and of course, brand new features.
