Samsung Galaxy S7 News & Update: Latest Flagship Features Gaming Like Water-Cooling, Graphics-Tweaking

Samsung officially introduced their latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S7, at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona. The technology giant boasted that their crown jewel has distinct gaming features, like water-cooling and graphics-tweaking.

According to CNET, the South Korean multinational conglomerate company added their biggest update was water cooling, like the one used in ultimate desktop gaming units. It would be a smaller version of the computer cooling system, but the "sealed copper cooling" scheme has the ability to remove excess heat away from the device's processor once the game reached the phone's thermal limits.

Moreover, S7 also carries the Vulkan API for game improvements. It simply means that many new titles are approaching in a little while to take advantage of the "modern multicore processors."

Hence, the gadget is prepared to hold up these games and, in fact, play much better compared to any Android devices introduced in the market. This, too, is the way of Samsung to draw back the attention of the consumers to their phones.

Game Spot also added that S7 has another noticeable feature, which can also be seen in some PC games. Samsung users can now tweak the settings to alter the function they wanted to have.

"Finally, Samsung also offers the ability to tweak graphics performance between three settings so you can dial things back a little if you want to put battery life ahead of gameplay," the report read. "The standard setting will run games at maximum resolution and at 60 frames per second. The 'low power' setting reduces frame rate to 30 frames and dials down the resolution somewhat, while 'extreme low power' sticks with 30 frames but drops the resolution again."

Meanwhile, Samsung, too, announced that anyone who buys Galaxy S7 on a preorder basis will have a free Samsung Gear VR headset and a bundle of six games. Preorders for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, which also has a free Gear VR, will start on Feb. 23; unfortunately, the price of each phone is not yet revealed.
