Patrick Stewart, 73, Ties Knot With Jazz Singer Sunny Ozell

Star Trek star Patrick Stewart, 73,  and singer Sunny Ozell exchanged vows and Ian McKellen officiated at the wedding ceremony.

The actor shared a photo of himself and wife Sunny on Twitter announcing the happy news," Yes, married."

Patrick's rep told E! News that the couple married Saturday afternoon. "Sir Patrick Stewart and Sunny Ozell were married on Saturday afternoon, September 7, beside Lake Tahoe in front of approximately 100 guests, including family and friends. The bride wore a white French lace dress by English designer Temperley London," the rep said.

Ian also shared the wedding news on his Facebook page and posted a photo that shows him wearing a t-shirt with 'Minister' written on it and holding a 'Doctor of Divinity' certificate. "I did my part," he captioned the photo.

On the 'Jonathan Ross Show' in March, he had announced that he would "marry" Patrick before reassessing his statement. "How else do you put that? I am going to officiate at his wedding."

"In Massachusetts-we're in the middle of America somewhere-you get anybody along, a friend, and I read out the words, and Sunny and Patrick will then be married. I declare you man and wife," he said when asked about his eligibility in officiating a marriage.

Patrick met Sunny in 2008 while performing in 'Macbeth' at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Since then the couple have been together. He and his first wife Sheila Falconer divorced in 1990, ending their 24 years of marriage. They have two children together, son Daniel and daughter Sophia. He was later engaged to Wendy Neuss, one of the producers of star Trek: The Next Generation. They married in 2000 and three years later were divorced.
