MWC 2016: Sony Introduces Xperia Ear, Xperia Eye, Xperia Projector and Xperia Agent

Sony didn't just unveil their Xperia X series but also their futuristic smart gadgets at the World Mobile Congress 2016 in Barcelona. The Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation introduced their Sony Xperia Ear, Xperia Eye, Xperia Projector and the Xperia Agent.

The Xperia Ear simply looks like a Bluetooth earpiece, but functions like Google Now through Bluetooth or NFC. The user can interact with it through voice command and can make phone calls, send messages and provide navigation.

It, too, can alert its bearer about the weather, calendar events, messages and other notifications. "It will navigate you to where you want to go and make your life eye-free and hands-free," Sony Mobile's President and CEO, Hiroki Totoki said, according to Daily Mail.

"It is also powered by Sony's voice technology and will respond to a number of commands," he added. "[It] is next-generation wireless earpiece that brings a new way of communicating, without compromising on enjoying the world around you."

Xperia Ear is made of soft silicone earbuds with IPX2 water-protection. It will be available in Summer 2016 in Graphite Black that comes with a case that also works as its charger.

Moreover, Xperia Eye looks like a 360-degree camera that Samsung and LG first announced. It is a neat wide-angle camera with 360-degree spherical lens.

It has "intelligent" feature that has built-in sensing technology that can capture photos using face and voice recognition, PCMag Asia reported. However, Experia Eye is still in its conceptual stage.

Additionally, Xperia Projector, which is still in the works, is a projector that lets its user interact with the images that are projected. It can make any clear surface turn into a touchscreen device that can be used with the same gestures like smartphones.

Lastly, Experia Agent, which is the most conceptual of the four, can work as the robotic personal assistant that has all the features of Ear, Eye and Projector. It's like a little android with a mobile face that can respond to voice commands and gestures.
