How To Know That Your Baby Loves You Too

Parents, just like babies, also want to have a feeling of assurance. They want to feel assured that their baby loves them. Your baby may not always show any response sometimes when you try to talk or communicate with them but how would you know that your baby loves you? Here are some signs that they do. 

1.      Baby is making some eye contact

For newborn babies, they don't have that developed eyesight yet so it may take like weeks before they can clearly see your face. They will recognize you through their sense of smelling and hearing for a while. Once your baby can clearly see, they will stare at you like memorizing your face features. This is their first view of love and comfort.

2.      Opening their mouth when you carry them

Babies recognize their mother through smell according to Parenting Science. You may see your baby moving their mouth often because it's their instinct to drink their mother's milk. Their mouth motion tells you that they recognize you.

3.      Smiling at you when you make funny and happy gestures

According to Just The Facts Baby, at six months, the baby's brain is rapidly developing and starts to improve their hearing and visual senses. They will recognize their parents' voice and face and visual stimulation will likely make the baby smile.

4.      Cooing at you

Parents are always making attempts to communicate with their babies by making baby sounds or speaking in a small baby tone. Babies will try to mimic this and makes a cooing sound. They start to develop some communication skills and they like communicating with you

5.      Lighting up when they see you

All parents have surely noticed at some instances that their infants or babies will become energetic showing an excited face seeing them. They may be comfortable with other people at home but there is something special with mommy and daddy. They learn the basic skill of differentiating.

6.      They cry when mom or dad walks away

This is called separation anxiety where the baby already knows that you care for them and leaving make them worry that they won't see you anymore. This is a clear sign that your baby loves you.

Babies have a special bond with their parents wherein they show that they are in their highest content being with them. Does your baby show these signs? Then it means your baby loves you.
