Hobart Man Thanks Rescue Unit For Delivering Child After Partner Died From Car Crash

A man from Hobart, Australia has spoken up for the first time regarding the tragic death of his pregnant partner. The woman was killed in a car accident, but luckily, her unborn child was successfully delivered via emergency caesarean section.

Daniel Stirling, 28, recently told Sunday Night via Yahoo News that his wife's sudden passing has been unbearable. Despite his sorrow, he wills himself to be strong for their two boys.

"I loved her, still do and I don't think I am going to find -I won't, I won't I know it - anyone that will come close to her. I don't think I ever really want to," Stirling lamented. "She was as close to perfect as you were going to get."

Sarah Paino, 24, was seven months pregnant when a stolen car rammed into her vehicle just moments after she and the couple's 2-year-old son Jordan dropped Daniel at work on Jan. 22. Fortunately, a paramedic team, stationed 500 meters away, arrived at the crash site within two minutes.

Jordan was miraculously unharmed but Sarah was already pulseless when Keith MacQueen and his crew extracted her out of the damaged car. The paramedics gave her CPR and got her blood to circulate so they would have time to save her unborn child.

They managed to deliver young Caleb at the Royal Hobart Hospital, 20 minutes after the incident. Dr. Kate Field shared to ABC that the baby needed full medical attention since he had difficulty breathing. Subsequent tests showed the boy has recovered from the shock.

"I thank my lucky stars he's here. I could have had everyone wiped from me," said Stirling. "Thank you for saving my boys lives and getting Sarah out of the car. Just unreal people. Unreal."

Daily Mail reported that four teenagers were charged with manslaughter and for stealing the motor vehicle that led to Sarah's death. The driver of the stolen car initially ran away from the crash site before getting arrested by the police. The three other assailants were treated at a hospital due to minor injuries.
