5 Reasons To Get Rid Of 'Mom Guilt' Once And For All

The moment your bundle of joy comes into your life, a new set of emotions rushes in from great joy, excitement, pride, fear and eventually guilt. Yes, guilt! But don't worry, it's just a normal feeling because you know that whatever you do will reflect to your child as he or she grows.

Nevertheless, no matter how you want to be an organized and a perfect parent, you should always remember you need time for yourself, too. Otherwise, you will be exhausted and become insane. And here are other reasons why you shouldn't feel the "mom guilt."

Having a vacation with your husband only.

Of course, you will normally worry about your kids, especially if you will leave them with their super indulgent grandparents. But look at the bright side, you and your husband will have an intimate time together while your children spend an ample time with your parents.

Losing your temper and yell at your kids.

Surely, this is not a good reaction, but hey, remember, no one's perfect. Besides, it will only teach your children that even their parents are not perfect, too. Just remember to offer an apology, so your kids will realize the importance of saying sorry.

Enjoying the perks of being a wage earner.

Don't feel sorry if you buy yourself original brands while you give your children generics. Buying yourself with nice things can make you feel good. And besides you won't outgrow them, unlike your kids.

Knowing you could go months without sex.

Hey, who could blame you? With all the children's screaming, running, siblings' squabbling and household chores that need to be done, of course, you will normally lose your libido. But you shouldn't blame anyone about it nor be hard on yourself. Your sex life will surely return, it just takes some time.

Looking forward to friend's date.

A little time apart from your family is never a bad thing. Moreover, it is the best time for you to stay away from all the children's noise and just have fun with your friends.

Just always remember, life isn't perfect. So, no need to worry over small things. Better drop the mom guilt and just extremely enjoy motherhood.
