5 Survival Tips For Working Moms

Most women would agree that being a working mom can be twice the struggle as being a full-time mom. That's because it's beyond easy to handle and manage the demands of work and taking care of the children can literally zap out all the energy that you have every day.

We understand that everyone deserves a work-life balance. That's why we are giving you 5 survival tips to simplify your life while juggling your different roles - before you awaken the she-hulk inside of you!

Tip # 1 - Take ALL your vacation days.
Vacation with the family are proven to relieve stress and can pose a positive impact on our health. Even if you can't afford to go out of town, use these time off to recharge your mind and body even at the comforts of your own home. This is also the best time to have that 'me' time that you've been wanting to have.

Tip # 2 - Have a bestie.
With the stress that you are consistently getting every day, it is important that you have someone that will be there to listen to you. Having a trusted girlfriend by your side can actually help reduce anxiety and improve your health.

Tip # 3 - Be 100% there with your kids the moment you get home from work.
Refrain from taking out your gadgets while you're at home. A recent study concluded that more than half of kids feel that they are not their parent's priority because they check their devices too often! Spend your 'home' time being at home, not getting lost in the sea of your emails (or your friend's updates!)

Tip # 4 - Share household work with your children.
Start 'em young! It pays to teach your children the value of hard work right inside the home. Teaching them how to take out the trash, do the dishes and fix their rooms at an early age would train them to be independent and responsible. Plus, it can also double up as a bonding experience between you and your child.

Tip # 5 - Sleep in on the weekends.
Go ahead, ditch your alarm and sleep that extra hour you've deprived yourself during the busy week. You need that sleep to replenish your depleted energy that you will be needing as you face another busy work week.
